CRIMAREC is a development company, with the pupose of upscaling and validate the technology knowledge and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) created by knowledge institutions.

The technology is a process of recovering metals, especially platinum group metals (PGMs) from various sources of scrap materials through a unique hydro-electrochemical process, as an alternative technology to the current  pyrometallurgical method.

The main focus of the company is to recovery platinum, palladium, ruthenium, iridium and rhodium from End-of-Life products from e.g., catalyzed diesel particle filters based on silicon carbide, diesel oxidation catalyst and three-way catalyst based on cordierite as well as fuel cell and electrolyser membrane assembly.
